Carnation, Washington
.
Michele Anderson, left, and Joseph McEnroe, right, murdered her mother, father, brother, sister-in-law, nephew and neice. Almost two years ago...
.
Michele Anderson and Joseph McEnroe, who are charged with killing six members Anderson's family in Carnation on Christmas Eve 2007, was to have been back in court on Sept. 1 for a pre-trial hearing. Defense attorneys for the two, along with Senior Deputy Prosecutor James Konat, met with King County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Ramsdell...
.
Anderson and McEnroe face the death penalty for their alleged crimes. The two are accused of fatally shooting Anderson's parents, Wayne and Judy Anderson; Anderson's brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Erica Anderson, both 32; and the younger couple's children, 5-year-old Olivia and 3-year-old Nathan.
.
A trial date in the case has not been set. Konat has believes that a jury won't hear the case until sometime next year.
.
.
It's very interesting that there is not more media attention, even at a local level on this case. Two years later? What a waste of taxpayers money. They have admitted what they've done. Get on with it.

Prairie Chicken, The reason there has not been more of a media circus in the Carnation Christmas Murders is that Michele Anderson is hoping for just that. It is my opinion as a family member and Mother of Erica Anderson that the less that is said before the trial the better. Michele is a very manipulative person and it would certainly suit her if she became "famous" for her heinous acts. It still is not clear as to who did the shooting, although they both have admitted they did both shoot the family.

Now Michele is asking for her 4th set of Defense Attorney's. This will delay the trial at least another 6mos.- 1 year, putting our trial into sometime in the spring of 2011. As far as I am concerned Michele is guilty, but she gets a trial because we live in America, where Aunts who think up murdering their small neice and nephew, along with her brother and his wife and her parents on Christmas Eve get a trial with a jury. She is in my opinion purposely delaying the trial. She will never like anyone who is her Defense Attorney, Man or Woman. She is a spoiled Brat and is going to make everyone who is involved life even more diffucult and miserable than it already is. That is her agenda, we all choose to ignore her until the trial. Then, hopefully people will realize that anyone who could do such an awful thing to not only her family, but all of Erica Anderson's family who adored our daughter, her wonderful husband Scott and the two innocent Grandkids, Olivia and Nathan. This was a purposeful act against not only our families but our communities of Snohomish, Black Diamond, Monroe, Duvall and Carnation, Wa. All semi-rural farming communities where people know your name and your family. This has been a huge, devastating event for all involved, one that won't ever be forgotten for a long time.

As Erica's Mother I have a lot of faith in the King Co. Prosecutors office and most especially James J. Konat. He is a devoted Prosecutor and also has been deeply affected by this crime. I am hopeful that we will have a trial very soon, but am not holding my breath; with Michele currently insisting she be allowed yet another set of Defense Attorney's of her choosing!

Erica's mother..may God bless and keep you. I cannot begin to imagine what you are and have been dealing with. As a person of strong faith I can only hope that you too have faith that God will help the living cope with these events and that while you will never ever forget what happened, you will be able to live, laugh and love when the trial is ended never losing the enduring memories of your daughter, grtandchildren, and the other family members.

...two years later, that murderer is now delaying the trial further. Where is the justice for the family who need to start their lives again. I am disgusted by how long it has taken to bring the killers of children and family to justice. To the family of Erica Anderson, Mother to two beautiful babies, I am sorry you have to wait so long. It's not right. You deserve justice done, and your life back. You are in my prayers.

As frustrating as these delays must be, my only hope is for a process that is so complete that the guilt we know to be true, is "upheld" in every eventual step towards final justice.

God bless and keep you all
