Amanda Knox, the American woman accused of murdering Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy, hid her face from images of the murder scene in court.

Knox, 21 and her ex-boyfriend Raffaelle Sollecito, 24, are accused of murdering the Coulsdon student in a sex game that went wrong in November 2007.

Last week the court saw images of the blood-spattered room with Miss Kercher’s face and foot sticking out of a duvet and a bloody handprint on the wall.
Minutes before the scene was aired, Sollecito and Knox had been exchanging smiles and whispers.

Knox covered her face as the video showed Miss Kercher’s face, but Sollecito watched the whole video.

Earlier, Italian police had strenuously denied the murder scene had been contaminated and said they matched the hand print to drifter Rudy Guede from Ivory Coast, who was found guilty of Miss Kercher’s murder in a fast-track trial and sentenced to 30 years in jail.

Amanda Knox’s father sat behind her making notes as the footage was shown.

He later said his daughter is anxious to testify and prove her innocence in an interview with NBC.

The trial continues.

Rudy Guede (a drug dealer from the Ivory Coast) has already been found guilty of the rape and murder of Meredith Kercher through DNA evidence. From everything that I've read about this case, I believe that Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito are both innocent of this crime and that they're being railroaded by the Italian Prosecutor who is trying to wrongly convict them solely for his own publicity.

Apparently, in Italy the Prosecutor in murder cases is the one who directs the police investigation so the Prosecutor has the advantage and all the control. To make matters worse, this specific Prosecutor is under indictment for abuse of power. I believe that the U.S. Government needs to intervene in this case. What a travesty of justice this appears to be.
