Phil Spector, weirdo extraordinaire, was found guilty this afternoon of 2nd degree murder in the case of Lana Clarkson, a lovely actress who died in Spectors home after having accepted a ride and a drink from him on the early morning of February 3, 2003.

.
The jury deliberated for almost 29 hours to reach the verdict after months of testimony that largely mirrored Spectors 1st trial, which ended in a hung jury in 2007.
.Doran Weinberg, Spectors attorney immediately asked that his client remain out on bail pending sentencing. Prosecution asked for immediate remand, saying that the protection of the public was and is still the responsibility of the State, and reminding the court of the the pattern of violence of the convict. Convict=Phil Spector, I love it. Alan Jackson pursued the possibility that Spector now may flee.

The defendant was ordered remanded. Phil Spector will spend his first night in jail tonight, the first over-nighter since he murdered Lana over six years ago.
.
Spector faces 15 years to life on the murder verdict, and another 3-5 years for the gun charge. At 67, hopefully we will never see his ugly ass face on the outside again.
.
Sentencing is set for May 29.
.
I have to wonder if the little woman Rachelle is relieved that he's going away. What a creep.
