Cindy Anthony: "I'm Sorry, You're Cute, But You're Not A 10"

.
ORLANDO, Fla. -- George and Cindy Anthony arrived at the law offices of Morgan and Morgan Thursday morning for a deposition to face tough questions in the civil suit against Casey.
.
Attorney John Morgan wants to find out everything Casey's parents know about a mystery baby-sitter by the name of Zenaida Gonzalez. Morgan's client, who has the same name as the mystery baby-sitter, is suing Casey Anthony for defamation of character.
.
CINDY THREATENS TO WALK OUT OF DEPOSITION
.
Cindy was very uncomfortable during her deposition Thursday. She didn't appear to be happy and didn't like a lot of questions. When she walked out after the three-hour deposition, she muttered something that sounded like she said she couldn't stomach attorney John Morgan.
.
"I'm done. I've already answered the question. She's not the one. I'm done," Cindy told Zenaida's attorneys.
.
When the questions got tough, Cindy Anthony got frustrated. "Someone touches me, I'm going to file harassment charges," she said. Touches her? At one point, it appeared she was going to walk out.
.
"Brad [Conway], if she's going to walk out we're going to move to find her in contempt of court," attorney John Morgan said.
.
During the several hours of depositioning, Zenaida's attorneys peppered Cindy with questions about Zanny the nanny, the woman Casey Anthony claims took her daughter. Zenaida's attorneys wanted Cindy to confirm their client wasn't the nanny.
.
Cindy did by almost criticizing Zenaida Gonzalez, saying their client didn't match the perfect description that Casey gave of the nanny. "She doesn't have perfect teeth. She's not a ten. I'm sorry ma'am, you're cute, but you're not a ten," Cindy said. ---WHAT A BITCH!
.
The attorneys wanted to know why Cindy didn't make that clear months ago, even though they believe Cindy knew this Zenaida wasn't the nanny. Meanwhile, Cindy didn't want to answer questions about Casey's thievery. "This is not relevant," Cindy said.
.
During the deposition Cindy Anthony also told attorneys she thinks someone else dumped Caylee's body in the woods near their home after hearing Casey Anthony during a jail visitation video saying she thought her daughter was close by.
.
The emotional fireworks erupted in the Morgan and Morgan law offices just before Cindy walked out following her three-hour deposition. "You have to have hope. If you don't have hope, you don't have faith!" Cindy Anthony yelled out after her deposition was completed.
.
Cindy appeared to attack John Morgan about a comment she heard him say on television.
"Yes, you did. You went on TV and said I shouldn't be praying," Cindy said. Meanwhile, Cindy's husband George tried to calm her down.
.
"Listen, shut up," George told her. "No, I'm not shutting up," Cindy yelled. Cindy was still fuming as she walked out and said few words to reporters.
.
"I can't stomach the man," Cindy said as she walked out, possibly referring to attorney John Morgan. "How did it go in there, Cindy?" WFTV reporter Jeff Deal asked. "What set you off?" another reporter asked. "Nothing," Cindy replied.
.
Zenaida's attorneys said Cindy was combative, refused to answer some questions and at one point threatened to walk out of the deposition, but she did admit the Zenaida being represented by John Morgan was not Caylee's nanny.
.
"Both George and Cindy said this wasn't Zenaida and that's a wonderful step forward," Mitnik said.
.
TEMPERS FLARE DURING GEORGE'S DEPOSITION
.
George Anthony was also questioned under oath Thursday, but he didn't want to answer what lawyers were asking. "I suggest you go to another question, sir," George told lawyers for Zenaida Gonzalez Thursday morning.
.
When asked about his granddaughter, Caylee, he was visibly upset. Actually, it was when he was asked a question pertaining to "the remains". "Do not do that to me again! Yes, you are! Yes, you are!" George said.
.
His wife, Cindy, didn't finish her deposition until after 4:00pm. The two were deposed to talk to lawyers, under oath, in the civil suit against Casey Anthony, filed by a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez. George has obviously been through a lot since Caylee was killed last summer and he really showed it Thursday.
.
It seemed he took out a lot of his anger over the whole situation on Zenaida Gonzalez's lawyers. He did not want to answer specific questions about why he never searched for Zanny the nanny when Caylee disappeared and he did not want to answer questions about Casey stealing money from his family when they tried to find out how, without a job, Casey would have paid a nanny.
.
"If you say the remains one more time, sir, I'm walking out this door. How dare you say that about my granddaughter? How dare you? How dare you?" George said, overcome with emotion.
His temper boiled over again and again when he was pressed to answer questions he didn't want to answer. This part really shows George is losing it, imo. Remains is all they found, George.
.
"I'm getting ready to walk out," George told Gonzalez's attorney. George was belligerent and combative with almost every answer and tried to run the show. "I suggest you go to another question," he told the attorneys. "I don't think that's relevant. I'm not gonna answer that."
.
When his temper tantrums didn't get him out of answering tough questions under oath, he accused one of Zenaida Gonzalez's lawyers of making a vulgar gesture. "I wouldn't sit here and shoot a bird at you. I'm sorry. I will be very careful to use my pinky so there is no question now," attorney Keith Mitnik said, referring to how he was pushing his glasses up on his face.
.
Gonzalez's lawyers made it clear they will do what they have to to clear her name and, since George's daughter Casey refuses to do it, he's going to have to answer their questions like it or not. "Why, if you believed your daughter's story about Zanny, would you not try to find the person who allegedly had her?" Mitnik asked.
.
"I just answered that. Because I trusted law enforcement," George said.
.
Attorney John Morgan let George know that, even though he refused answering questions Thursday, they will get a judge to order him to, reminding George that Casey has now added [insult] to injury by countersuing Zenaida.
.
We don't want to come back. We know you don't want to come back," John Morgan told George.
"I'm not coming back again, George said. "You'll do what the judge says," Morgan responded.
In fact, that's what's going to happen. Morgan plans to go to a judge for a hearing to force George to answer their questions.
.
George did apologize to Zenaida Gonzalez for her trouble, but her attorneys say it has to come from Casey Anthony and she just won't do it.
.
Months ago, in a jail house conversation with her parents, Casey spoke about Gonzalez.
"I have told them many times to find a sketch artist, show me a picture, show me something and I can point her out to you," Casey said at the time.
.
Cindy has even told investigators she questioned her daughter's story.
.
"Any thoughts at all? Can you say anything at all?" Cindy asked Casey.
.
Reportedly John Morgan is banking on getting critical information out of the Anthonys that potentially could clear his client's name.
.
Gonzalez's attorneys have already questioned Casey's brother Lee and the family's former private investigator, Jim Hoover. Cindy Anthony is expected to have the most critical information. At one point, Cindy told investigators she did not believe anything Casey said about Gonzalez and that the whole story was made up.
.
JUDGE FILED COMPLAINT AGAINST CASEY'S ATTORNEY
.
Jose Baez has been investigated by the Florida Bar before, but now sources say it's the judge in the case against Casey that's filed a complaint against Casey Anthony's own attorney.
.
Circuit Judge Stan Strickland is one of two people who have filed new complaints against Jose Baez. The Florida Bar says both investigations involve Baez's former private eye, Dominic Casey. He's the guy who was at the remains scene a month before detectives found Caylee.
.
VIDEO REPORT: Judge Files Complaint
.
It's very rare for a judge to file a complaint like this, but all judges are obligated as attorneys to report possible violations.
.
There's speculation the complaints involve the private eye's claim he was told not to call 911 if he found Caylee's body. But, shocking as it might be, WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer says calling 911 could've gotten Casey Anthony's defense team in trouble.
.
Circuit Judge Stan Strickland would not address his Bar complaint against defense attorney Jose Baez. Sheaffer, who served on a Bar grievance committee, said the complaint would not automatically disqualify Strickland from the case.
.
Casey Anthony would have to make a strong claim that it jeopardizes her right to a fair trial, but Sheaffer wouldn't advise it. "Casey Anthony should think long and hard before she files a motion to recuse Judge Strickland from this case because there are a lot of other judges out there that are less tolerant and patient with her attorney than Judge Strickland has been," Sheaffer said.
.
Dominic Casey told detectives he would've called 911 if he had found Caylee in November, but also that he was told not to call 911 by someone he apparently identified during an interview, which Judge Strickland sealed because it divulged defense secrets. Baez told him not to call.
.
Sheaffer says no one is legally obligated to call 911 after finding a body and Casey's defense team would be legally obligated not to if it would incriminate her. "He is prohibited by the rules of ethics from ever divulging that information," Sheaffer said. Sheaffer said it would cost Baez his license and, for the justice system to work, it has to be that way. Is this true? Is that how it really works?
.
"A client must know that there is one person that they can tell the truth to," Sheaffer explained.
Sheaffer believes the judge's complaint involves more than a defense instruction to Dominic Casey not to call 911. He says judges usually handle trivial issues with attorneys by holding contempt of court hearings in their own courtrooms.

Apparently the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I'm glad someone finally stepped up in this case and said, to hell with this! What crap how many times do all of these clowns need to lie before they are thrown in jail, with the skank they defend? I'm sure if they are given a number they WILL reach quota.

I do not agree that Dominic Casey is not obligated to report a crime. You can have a client, but if you find evidence of a crime, you must report it, then excuse yourself from the case.

Yes, that is true, and is indeed how it works.

Baez is obligated to protect his client's interests. Her interest, in a first-degree murder case without a body, was obviously in a body not being found.

I therefore suspect the complaint may be because Baez sent someone to look for the body, period. That is definitely not acting in his client's best interests, and if he got the information from Casey, it is also a violation of attorney/client privilege to repeat that information to a third party (Dominic Casey). Privilege adheres to the client, not the attorney, for very good reason.

Nice blog, by the way. I've added you to my RSS feed. :-)

If George and Cyndi could barely make it through depositions...there is no possible way they are going to make it emotionally through the murder trial. If George couldn't bear to hear the word "remains" , he is best to not show up at the murder trial...Cindy, as well. Their daughter needs to step up to the plate and confess all. For the sanity and sake of her parents.
